Students unite to showcase their artistic flair whilst raising money for charity

The next generation of creative souls are putting on an arts showcase in Bury St Edmunds to raise money for charity.

The group – who are all year 12 and 13 students from Abbeygate Sixth Form College have teamed up with Restore (formally Women’s Aid).

During an occasion that is taking place on the evening of Wednesday 16 July 2025 at the college based on Beetons Way, visitors will be get the chance to see a mixture of dance, drama, poetry and art.

The event starts at 6.45pm and finishes at 9pm and tickets cost £2.50 for staff and students and £3.50 for family and friends.

Refreshments will be available and all money raised will go to Restore to support women who have been affected by domestic abuse.

Lou Gridley is an art teacher at Abbeygate Sixth Form College. Lou said: “We have teamed up with students and Restore to highlight some of the issues relating to domestic abuse.

“By putting on this event, we want to raise money for this fantastic charity that does so much work to support people affected by this ongoing problem in our society.” For tickets you can visit here!
